"EATS" poll for La Crosse//Date:June 23rd,2007

Hello everyone! Need to get an idea from those that plan to attend the summer trip to La Crosse. We have a couple of possibilities, and I would appreciate your feedback! Please do me a favor, if you are on the list for this event and you vote on this poll, please include the number of people that will be joining you...(wife, kids, friends, etc.) We need a more accurate number of the people that will be needing lunch. So you+1, +2, and so on...Thanks,Josh.

    Option #1: Rudy's diner=Burger's, fries, shakes,....oh yeah, girls on roller skates!!:yumyum: http://www.rudysdrivein.com

Option #2: A caterer with a large grill for bbq chicken, burgers, etc. at the Copeland Pavillion and park. No girls on rollerskates, but other kinds of beautiful views are provided.:)

Please vote now and let me get an idea what you would like to see happen for this event!! Remember to let me know the amount of people in your cars. Thanks again!

If you are not on the list yet...click here>>>> http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14932and get signed up!

I voted #2 It would probably be easier to keep a group this size organized if we stayed at one place. Add me to the going topless list.

diner sounds fun. i take its one of the drive in style ones? those are always a blast. plus it seems to me that they have better tasting food then other burger places.

Wouldn't it make more sense to cater something, if we seriously have over 50 commitments? That's a lot of food for a diner to handle. Or would we rent out the whole restaurant?

    I should be me + 1.

The diner can handle around 80 cars. But, the owner said he couldn't handle that many people at once...so if we had two 'phases' of groups around an hour apart, he thinks it would be ok. So we may need to rent the pavillion and have half of the cars there for a while and then go eat. I'll add up the totals from this thread...if we have 80 cars with 2 people/car on average, we will need to feed alot of people!! Keep the counts pouring in!...please.

And a caterer is still a definite option!

I'd say we should have a final count of whose really in first week of June...That isn't to late or to early to have members commit...

No doubt...but it may be too late for the caterer or diner at that point, that is why I'm trying to reserve these dates and places for everyone! I'll bring the velvet rope for the "Subourghini!";)

well we just cant all rush them for food at once. if we all eat over the course over 1.5hrs or so it shouldnt be soo bad. plus keep in mind burgers dont take too long to cook or eat.

plus you are forgetting the hand raiser %. 50 ppl signed up, 15 will go. 15 ppl is no issue for the diner lol.

Handraisers need not apply, if we do the diner, he will be shutting the parking lot off to the public, we will arrive and take up every spot he has in the lot! We CANNOT have this establishment close for us, and then have only ten cars arrive!! We may end up doing a deposit to reserve yourself a spot at the diner. This has to be for serious members only. Two or three months notice should allow everyone enough time to put in for the time off if they work Saturdays-with exception of rabbit...hahaha. Sorry rabbit.:(

Once we get a date figured out I can tell you if Beth will be coming with or not. It all depends on if she works the weekend of the event or not.

If you guys end up doing the BBQ/pavillion, I can recommend a guy down here in SE MN who makes some excellent BBQ. I don't know what his schedule is this summer, but I can give you his contact info if you end up going that route and are looking for some options.

I voted BBQ/pavillion. I think with the number of people we have it would be nice to be able to hang out at this nice park and all eat together. Plus we have been looking into prices and it is prob going to be cheeper per plate to get it catered. It is a really nice park with plenty of space for everyone to do what ever they want. You could even bring a blanket and have a family picnic..

Also anyone down for some ultimate frisbee?
