I bought my 12 WRX a year a ago and thought I was one of few wrx drivers in this area, now I'm seeing more and more everyday. I haven't found any local clubs to Eau Claire, WI so I joined here. I'm new to Subaru and am always looking for some good advice or fun events to go to. I would love to do some local cruising around the EC area with other Subie enthusiasts. Any interest?
There are several of us that will be competing at the autox in Eau Claire next Sunday, but we're mostly from the twin cities. By your pic, looks like you may compete as well, so come out and race or at least stop by and say hi. We're all (mostly) pretty friendly!
Check out www.ecscc.com. It's a forum a buddy and I started about 6-7 years ago. I used to live in EC but not any more, there are a few suby drivers on there.

+1 to ECSCC.com for local stuff. Not just Subarus, but still a good group. MNSubaru is your best bet for Suby stuff though! Sign up for the MNSubaru Lax Cruise! I have the purple STi hatch in EC, there are a bunch of other newer ones, too. Say hi if you see me out and about.

Thanks, MNGman! I had GREAT instructors Sorry if I talked too much... I think I'm a little bit addicted now, just need a few upgrades and more practice, but I'll definitely be at more autox events. I'm also definitely thinking about going to the LaX cruise; I heard about it last year and I'm clearing my schedule for that weekend. I think it was all becuase of MN Subaru that I ended up with my WRX. I had always wanted a WR blue WRX and while out shopping around last March, I ended up buying an 09 mini cooper S from Morrie's in Minnetonka on a whim and as I was in signing the papers all these cars with hood scoops started showing up. The salesperson told me your club was having an event there and encouraged me to go out and look around. I signed the papers with a bad "gut feeling" and drove the Mini off the lot. I ended up returning it 2 days later knowing I would always be regretting not getting the car I so desparately wanted. 2 weeks later, I ordered my dream car and have been in love ever since. So, thank you! (Yeah, cheesy story, I know, but its true) I look forward to meeting some of you guys - hope you don't mind a girl tagging along...

I see that there's an autox scheduled the next day in West Salem; thinking about making a weekend out of it.
Yep, that's him! Last year we didn't stay overnight the night before. Just got on the road at a decent time and didn't have any issues. I stayed in town that night though with some friends in the area. Speaking of AutoX, are you signed up for the one in EC this weekend?

Welcome to the site. Anytime I drive through Eau Claire to visit my parents I usually see a couple Subarus. I don't know if they are locals or just college kids, but most are usually good about giving a wave back.
Speaking of yall Eau Claire folks...I'll be there for the autox on Sunday. What stations in the area carry 93 octane?
