Okay, I know what everyone will say, but I did it anyway. On the way to work last week I decided to get my oil changed. I usually due it myself every 2-2.5K so I know everything is done properly.

I stopped by Jiffy because they are quick and I was lazy....never again. They insisted on Synthetic oil in my car and stated if I did not use Synthetic my Subaru warranty would be void!!!! :x

NOT TRUE!!! Without getting into a complete arguement with the guy I politly told him his information was not correct and he should call Subaru.

HOWEVER, on the slip of paper I signed after the oil change was done they had on their a statement that they advised me that my warranty would be voided by not using synthetic.

One additional note: they wanted to change out my air filter. (I have a K&N panel filter.)
JUST AN FYI: Don't go there.

They are not suppose to pressure sale and by saying you'll void warrenty that is pressure sale.....but imo, never change oil at jiffy lube, they are crap, believe me i work there...lol...but if you come by my store, i can cut you damn good deals.

I went to a Jiffy ONCE. Back down in FL, I was in a rush, and also being lazy. I paid and ran out the door because I had to get somewhere. Later that night I looked at my bill, and they charged me $10 for "Skid Plate Removal"

Now I know full well that it's just a couple of those stupid little screw clip things to get past the stock splash guard (skid plate is pushin it. You know, being plastic and all).

skid plate charge.. man we havent charged extra once yet.. but I tell you some of them are a pain the heiny.. Monteros for example take about an extra 20mins to take them off and put them back on... but normal cars... you know its crap like that, that causes people to never come back.. too many places go t\for the now sale instead of building long-term clientel..

Jesus...even we don't charge 70 bucks for an oil change. Is it just an oil change or are there other services involved?
