I have several sets of cases that I am going to take to the recycler. These are unusiable cases with various damage. They would not be able to be used to build a motor so they are scrap. Can be used as a body of a robot :biggrin:, a coffee table maybe? 25.00 a piece.
make a cool table outta them, I did that with my old prelude head then it got the berber dirty, that was the end of that...
Robot is not going to be a very happy robot having a few cracks in the cyclinder. LOL You might get more at the metal recycler. That was great! Robot!
The problem is, they give you a crap rate for mixed metals. An engine block wouldn't fetch the price of gas to get to the recycler to drop it off. Pure aluminum makes the bucks, but those iron sleeves and other assorted fittings and such make it mixed metals. Ask subaru4 about turning in a set of EJ22T heads. I think he got a total of 3 bucks for both of them.
Thats very interesting, that would explain partly why those doop addict are cutting cat's out of cars and stilling copper. Sorry for the hi-jack OB1, this is interesting.
Ok since I don't really know the kid, I have to wonder has he owned a Subaru of any kind. He seems to have random parts from time to time, not trying to make fun just wondering.
This is in regards to taking things to a recycler. It has **** to do with owning a subaru. Plenty of non-Subaru owners take things to recyclers every day. And he got the heads from me, because I had an EJ22T and didn't need the heads at all. He stripped them down and took them to the recycler. And they gave him mixed metals value for the weight of the heads. They will also give Subaru owners mixed metal rate for heads because it has to do with the metal not the car you own.

I know he has an EJ22E sitting on the floor of his garage that is busted to hell. I had it in my garage for cannibalism. And i think I saw a VF11 on the floor in the garage there too. He's a Subaru fan. Doesn't own one, but he has liked them for as long as I've known him.
