EJ22 question

    does anyone have any idea how much the stock 2.2l engine can hold? for daily driving? i am thinking around 4psi with 7 TOPS

    im thinking 9:1 or 8:1

    What year 2.2? AT/MT?



    Intercooled? The efficiency of the turbo determines how much heat is added by the turbo. Intercooling helps to take that heat back out.

    Ignition timing intercepted and controlled? (boost retard).

    its a 95 2.2l Automatic. it will be a stock wrx turbo intercooler set up. i am not sure on the ignition

    J&S Safeguard ignition timing contorller would help. I'm sure someone would be able to sell you one used because that thing costs say like $400ish...

    Your CR should be 9.7:1 where as mine is 10:1. haha You could run 6psi with no IC but with that ignition controller. You could make MORE power running 6PSI with IC and ignition controller.
