today when i washed my car i used a electic buffing wheel to apply and polish wax. WOW i am seriously amazed at how shiny my car is. it was like a 30 dollar sears buffer. works really good, makes waxing take about 5 minutes, and its really easy. you guys should try this next time you wash teh car
hehe, it works REAL good. my aunt was impressed so i did a little corner of her 04 forester java black. and it looked like GLASS with gold flecks.
sometimes i use it to apply and then an old t-shirt to remove the wax. the speciallized remover - aka terrycloth - buffer tends to only last about 1/3rd of the car before it's saturated with wax or has melted and turned the cloth brown. that's the only frustrating thing. otherwise it works great both for waxing and polishing.
I assume liquid wax was used. How long did it take from start to finish? When I wax, it takes me about 3-4 hours to do a thourough hand job with 2 coats. Next time, I will let my girl(s) to come help with the hand job.
lol, that sleeperwagon really attracts the chicas huh? well lets see probably took me 1-2 hours to completely was the car. rinse, wash, rinse. shine tires, clean wheel, and do 1 coat of wax, and polish it. and some rain x too. i would say 30 minutes for waxing, buffing, and polishing, but then again it was my first time usign the thing, and i bet you can do it faster w/ practice.
you sir are correct. Polish the surface, then wax it. Doing it in the opposite order yields nothing. You can't polish wax.
