    Probably west of you.
Does anyone know of a business that will come pick up an engine that I have sitting in my garage? One of my wife's co-workers blew up a Toyota, and I still have her old engie and want it gone.

I'm out in the western sticks - St. Boni.

    Thanks.

There has to be a junk yard in that area that would take it

Meth addicts for scrap. The best part is watching their superhuman powers of paranoia to lift the entire engine themselves so they don't need to get at it with a lift at all.

Seriously though you may want to contact some scrap metal places to see if they'd pick it up. You may even get some cash for it.

Put it in your neighbors yard and pretend like you dont know how it got there. Could work!

I know someone who has a metal scrap pile at his shop. I could inquire about adding it to the pile. Or I think I may be doing a recycling run sometime. anyone know what a motor counts as? mixed aluminum/steel?

Martin, Ihink most scrap places Have a flat rate for engines, if you strip it you could get some alum scrap money.

Put it out on the ice and take bets on when it falls through.

Commodity prices are on the rise, wait another year and you might get $100 for it...
Those $100 might not buy as much as today $50 though :)

I just leave my metal parts outside and the metal people come get them. They recycle them. But that's here in TOWN. So don't leave your pretty engine parts or parts outside if you still want them! We lost our Paseo motor with the ported heads because my friends left the motor outside.

tossed my 4.3L Chevy shortblock in the construction dumpster I had. Asked them, first and they said as long as it didn't have fluids in it anymore, they didn't care.
