I finally had everything needed to assemble my shortblock last night, YaY! Pistons are left out, because the oil squirters are getting a seafoam bath. I should be able to get to them today, after work I wasnt happy with the initial condition of the block, so I took my time and made her beautiful. Before: After:

^Note the difference between future and present tenses :hsugh: It will be tuned and ready to go in 2-3months, we will see then. My guess on horsepower is 280-300, so pretty comparable to yours AND we have the same gear ratios, so even more comparable. A drill brush lots of carbcleaner and shop wipes. I alternated between the two, brush then clean then brush then clean....so on until the shine came out.
Why not just get it tanked? Its always good to clean the inside, as well as the outside. What components?

ppg, mfactory, kaaz....I dont know which yet. First I have to think about what I want for ratio, Second I have to save ALOT of money, third I have time the destruction of my tranny with my decision of gears and ability to save money.
i was just looking at ppg's website...group N straight cuts for 6 speeds for all 6 gears ftw....even if it would be annoying as hell to drive...i would still love it
