Hey Guys...So we (as in my friend and Fuji) but back my friends engine togather and yesterday we were finally finished...So we followed all fuji's procedure to starting it but after it was started it basically droped all the engine oil through somewhere right by the timing belt cover, we ended up taken the timing belt cover off thinkin it might be from inside (spicfically oil pumb) but no it was not it so we actully turned the car on while everything is off to locate where is it comming out from but no luck but where able to tell it was from the right side of the bottom, I am sorry I am not sure which hoeses they are but there two hoses that in the bottom right and i personally blieve that it might of came from there, and now the timing belt is oil and everything basically has some oil on it, so it did get inside the timing belt cover, but the hoeses I am talkin a bout are out side the timing belt obivisolly...Please if anyone has ran to such problem or give me any input I would appricate it...Thanks... Hey guys, As Mohd (TheWRX) explained that i got my car (02 wrx) all back together but while starting it all the oil that we put in came out. As i started to take things apart to find why it was leaking oil i came across this hole that is threaded (see pic) that is located behind the inner timing belt cover. This is my first time that i actually took any kind of engine apart and put back together so excuse me for being a newb. My question is if there is a screw that goes in this threaded hole? And of course the same will go for the other three just like it (2 on each side on the heads). Your help would be much appreciate it. Thanks
my opinion is you put the headgasket in wrong, OR your oil pressure sender is shot, it looks to be coming from above.
^ yes if you dont have the seals in the oil filler stem you will lose oil from there, however its normally a slower leak that depends on engine speed. i forgot a seal in mine and if i cruised at 3k rpms i would loose oil like none other.
