    So my car drives normal until around 65. That's when I feel a vibration that goes <font size="1">ddddd</font id="size1"><font size="2">dddd</font id="size2"><font size="3">dddd</font id="size3"><font size="4">dddd</font id="size4"><font size="3">dddd</font id="size3"><font size="2">dddd</font id="size2"><font size="1">dddd</font id="size1"><font size="1">dddd</font id="size1"><font size="2">dddd</font id="size2"><font size="3">dddd</font id="size3"><font size="4">dddd</font id="size4"><font size="3">dddd</font id="size3"><font size="2">dddd</font id="size2"><font size="1">dddddddd</font id="size1">

So it increases and decreases and increases and decreases even at a steady speed. However, the faster I go the more powerful the vibration. I don't think it's the tire's balance, the steering wheel doesn't shake. My brakes are warped but that shouldn't vibrate unless I'm braking right? I had a look at the main drive pully at idle, and couldn't see anything off center but could it be off just enough that at high speeds I feel it? But then why the increase then decrease versus constant?

    HELP ME GUYS!!!

I don't know what it is.... I've cut it down to rotors being warped... I've swapped brake pads, re-torque the lugs, everything... so that's what i'm doing with russ's rotor group buy..

Yeah, that makes the most sense because of what I/we've narrowed down. I'm doing the same in fact. So, If it goes away for the both of us, then we'll know what it was!

Does it feel like the <u>engine</u> though to you?

sometimes... for me, how i know is when i'm at high speeds, i just let the steering wheel go for a few seconds and it shakes like crazy... i hate it... sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't... as for the engine, i'd say it's more tranny than engine for me...

My car is developing the same problem but not toy our guys severity yet. This kinda makes me scared cause my car only gots 25,000 miles on it so I can only imagine what might happen around 50,000

I believe the cause of our problems is the brake pads. As I said, I recently changed my pads and I noticed there was a lot of gunk stuck behind the rotor, between it and axle, as i jiggled it. The only thing I know to have caused it is the residue from the stock pads, as they are not ceramic, over time say 20k-25k miles OR heavy duty outback driving causing dust and small rock particles to collect behind there. IF my assumptions are correct, it would cause rattles or vibrations at hight speeds since the rotors are angled(very slightly say 1-2 degrees) from the gunk. Yes, it may seem like a small space behind there, if any, but water and anything it carries, if small enough can go through just about any cracks, leaving behind gunk when dried, then collected overtime. Any thoughts?

    I have no idea...
When it warms up I'm going to take a look around down there and try to figure it out.

My guess would be either out-of-balance wheels (especially if it is very speed specific) or warped rotors touching the brake pads and causing the vibration. My $0.02 anyway...
