I just finished putting on a ezr downpipe on my wifes 04 wrx, took everything off and bolted the new one on and the ezr downpipe has a flat flange, but the ezr catback is a doughnut flange:mad:  is there anyplace I can get the flat flange from and weld it on to the catback?. right now i just put a bunch of red rtv and the new gasket in there until I can figure out what to do.

I was just wondering if there was a place that sold flanges, that way I could buy one and then have the exhaust shop weld it on. Im sure they wont have anything loke that around here

I would go to a napa and find a 3in crush donut flange like for a Ford Van etc... and use lots of RTV.. I have fixed a couple of club cars like that in the same situation... if it failed we planned to cut and reweld a new flat flange in later... neither have come back in over 5mths

This is where I get mine. I think they supply all the DIY exhaust parts to Summit Racing (or used to). They have a link to JCWhitney on their page.

Oh, and one more thing... They are local (right here in Minesota!)

One was me about a year ago now... And it lasted most excellently until I put my SPT exhaust on around 3 months ago! I originally had the 2.5" STI cat-back welded to my 3" Invidia DP, and the donut flange deal worked quite well... NO LEAKS!
