    Props to Matt (bikerboy).

Today he installed my TBE, fuel pump, and TIC/kartboy super shifter kit.

    Total time = 6 hours.

Would have taken me a week. Matt, thanks for the professional help.

The best upgrade to my car to date is clearly this super shifter kit. Throws are amazingly short and precise. Nice definite thunk into each gear, but not stiff. Virtually no play in the shifter now.

Swain Tech coated Helix catted CP mated easily to the Maddad whisper catback. Used a Cobb turbo heatshield. Matt did a beautiful custom turbo wrap. Louder than stock, but not much nice tone. Looks like stock to anyone that is not looking closely. Car pulls harder already and have not changed the maps with the accessport to stage 2 yet.

Walbro fuel pump took him all of 30 minutes.

More complete impressions of current set up will follow in a few days along with pictures and sound clips.

Take home message #1: Matt is a great mechanic and a great guy

Take home message #2: Spend the $$ for the TIC/Kartboy super shifter kit, easily the best mod ever!

Thanks for the great feedback Brad!

Guys I can't begin what those little bushing do for the shifter! Granted the install is a PITA but you get so much for that!

I bet the exhaust itself gave you an extra inch to your smile. :D Sometimes... I mean... everytime, stock isn't good enough.

The exhaust is awesome. Several of my friends in the area have listened to it and they all agree that the sound is great.

So far, all is perfect. Pictures/sound hopefully this coming weekend.

you talking front or rear bushings? or both. I did these on my car and awd101's. big difference because his car was newer. Basically his car was a pita because the orginial equipment is alot stiffer because of less wear. My car took about 1/5 of the time to do.

I've been thinking about picking up a short throw kit. I may get the same kit as you or I may go with the cobb driveline kit(had good luck with the cobb kit on the last car). I wish my STI would have come with the short throw kit on it already to save me the headache of dealing with it later.

I have a friend in town down here with a factory installed short shifter on his 2005 STI. It is not even close to this super shifter kit.

This is the best $230 you will ever spend on your car.
