Alright well I have done many nights of researching and have come to this conclusion. I have decided to purchase the Bosal 3" CBE through here,http://www.daddysscp.com . I have also decided to purchase either the Stromung catless downpipe or Bosal 3" to 2.5" Catless DP from the same site. By doing this I have left my 3rd cat in there. From what I can deduce from the web site the stromung DP can mate up to the 3rd cat fine. The cat-back can obviously meet up to the 3rc cat as well. I have decided to do this for the time being as I dont have the current cash to buy the hi-flow cat or cat eliminator. By me not purchasing the hi-flow cat or cat-eliminator does my exhaust or engine get hurt and how? I would like to purchase the hi-flow cat as well but just dont have the money so should I wait on the DP and only get the cat-back for the time being? Should I wait to do it all at once? Is there another route I should be going? Please let me know your thoughts on any of these questions as searching for an exhaust has made me very confused. Please help

By using the stock cat, you are just not able to tap into the full potential of the car. Since it looks like you want to run a cat anyways, the stocker will work till you can get something a little higher flowing. Anything you can do to free up the exhaust will allow the car to make more power.

Yeah, that is what I kinda figured. Because of this I have been wondering about the cats. Since our state does not have emission testing I was curious if having a cat was really necessary? I know that by going catless my exhaust will be much louder which I dont really mind cause the way I see it is that if it is too loud I can sell my bosal and get a different cat back or axle back. So are cats really necessary in the state of MN?

IIRC, federal law says that it is illegal to remove any catalytic converters that were there to begin with.

I guess I'm breaking the law, lol.

Yes, I know it is Illegal but would I ever have to deal with MN cops and cats in my exhaust cause if not I am running straight pipes and getting all the power that I can

I would call it a remote possibility at best. I've been fully catless for over a year now and haven't had any hassles (even getting pulled over once). It's louder and it stinks like hell at a stoplight, but that's about it.

Depending on where you live and drive regularly you should be OK. But you never know, some towns or suburbs might have that one a-hole cop that will stop you for the most minor thing imaginable and then give you the once over. No one can say for sure that it will never happen, so if the possibility unnerves you, better keep a cat on.

It doesn't unnever me at all. I want as much power as I can pull right now. So fully catless TBE it is. Might have to try a couple of different axle backs to find the noise level I want but im ready

I'm running a straight pipe in my DSM for two years now, not a single cop has ever gotten under the car and said, "whoa buddy, no cat, here's a ticket."
