So I am wondering if anyone has a extra set of 215/40/18 summer wheels and tires that I could try out on my car for about a week to see if they rub a dub da fenders like my 225/40/18 due..... Thanks.
Well I do have a set of 18s that I'm TRYING to keep......I have 225/40/18 on there now and they rub a little when i corrner hard. DO NOT want to roll my fenders. I talked this tire deal over with my uncle who knows a bit bout tires, and we came up with the 215/40/18. I have 2 sets of 215/45/17. Just trying to get the 18 to work .
You might be better off getting a camber kit and alleviating the rubbing by adding more camber. Or else I'd say get some correct offset wheels.
Do this before the wheel bearings on that wagon are toast like they are on your old car The baller solution would be to get sedan front fenders and bumper! Might as well do the control arms conversion while you're at it too.
This probably isn't the place to ask but anyway what parts of the wheel are 215/40/18 or what ever size they are?
