Just saw Cars with my GF. Yeah that's right I saw an animated movie.

It was a good movie--and the critics are right, it probably will be the movie of the summer.

    SPOILERS**********

There is a scene on the highway where the semi truck trailer is driving on the highway, when all of the sudden it cuts to techno music and weird "camera" angles. All of the sudden these souped up cars zoom into the scene, one of them has 7 spoilers stacked up on the back apprx 8 feet tall. They all have neons, etc and are zooming all around... guess you will have to see it, but I was sitting there cracking up because I was likely the only one in the theater who got it (we went to a mantinee and there were only moms and kids).

One of the characters is a lowrider--who has a different paint scheme each scene, and of course he speaks with a hispanic accent.

There is a VW bus, who is of course a hippy stoner who sells organic gas and says "yeah man" quite a bit.

There are some Hummers with big shiny wheels who the tow truck makes drive off road. The Hummers protest by saying awww man I can't get my rims dirty.

The "white trash" fans of the main star are all rusty domestic cars, when he goes to give a speach there is complete silence and you hear someone yell "Freebird." Again I was the only one cracking up.

These two twin Miatas come racing at him and say they are his biggest fans, then all of the sudden their lights flip up and the headlight turn on--the police cars rush in and push them away--get it--they were flashing him.

It's worth going to watch, there are plenty more funny moments. I give it two thumbs up.

    I can't wait to see this.

I've drawn the conclusion that there are no ****ty cgi movies. I would imagine that is due to the fact that you would not spend 2+ years and millions of dollars in equipment on a ****ty script.. But I could be wrong.:hsugh:

I've been looking forward to this one for a while. I haven't seen Over the Hedge yet, but I've heard that's a good one. If you want a good, witty movie check out Hoodwinked. Think Little Red Riding Hood meets Quentin Tarantino without the bloodshed.

took my 2 yr old boy... he laughed when they went TRactor Tipping.. ummm actually mayeb that was me... ha ha ha I was laughing hard in this movie... even harder when I realised my 2yr old drank about half a large Pepsi and about a 1/4 of a large popcorn and it was kicking in in teh last 20 min of the movie... the most pop the kid has ever drunk is about 1/4 of a kids cup... so yeah.. needless to say there was a little tummy aching for about an hour going to sleep.... ha ha ha

defintiely worth seeing... am going to be getting this one for my home collection
