For sale are two Subaru Outbacks. One is a 2000 with 165k miles on the chasis the other is a 2001 with 239k on the chasis.

With the exception of the year they are identical. Subaru made no mechanical changes from the 00 to 01 model year of this car. They are both maroon with gold trim and both have clean titles. Due to the complete compatibility of the cars you could very easily combine the two and have a rather nice car with many very usable parts left over from the other. You could also choose to fix them both up and keep one and sell the other and end up with a nice car for much less than $5000 overall.

Here are the specific details of each car...

    2000...
165k miles. Has bad engine(rod bearing let go) but good heads. It will not run and must be towed. Prior to the engine failing everything worked great. It has new wheel bearings, new radiator, new struts all around, good brakes, good tires, AC works, interior is immaculate. Body is good with only minor exterior rust consistent with its age.

    2001...
239k miles. Belonged to a mail route carrier. Engine runs great. Car runs and drives fine but needs struts. and other minor maintenance (brakes etc). Tranny shifts fine interior is decent with no major flaws. Body has only minor dings and is relatively rust free (minor rust on hood only due to dings etc)

The cars are to be sold as a pair and price of $5000 is firm. I will not entertain any lower offer. Cash sale only; no other forms of payment accepted. Cars are sold as-is.

I'm selling them because I have too many projects and not enough time and just want to break even.
