    Advanced alzheimers + pneumonia = end of the road. Stupid people at the VA were only giving him 1/4 the morphine he should have. He was obviously in pain, even at half consciousness. How the **** did they get their god damn nursing liscences.

    well... VA is a government run hospital correct.. unfortunately this will become more common...

    Brutal. That's how my stepdad passed - early onset dementia (50yo) - ultimately losing the battle against pneumonia. Sorry to hear that Dan.

    I interned at VA and I agree, they do not treat patients fairly compared to other hospitals. I heard a lot of complaint about thier hospital from other patients. It's government controlled hospital, that's one of the problems in my opinion.
