How many of you go with aftermarket vs. factory racks? I know you can fit more attatchments to aftermarket, but are there any other advantages? I just have a factory rack, but was debating an aftermarket rack. When I put 4 snowboards on, there's no clearance from my roof. The bindings scratch the hell out of the roof. Hoping aftermarket will get me a couple extra inches clearance. Any opinions?

i have alwayse used thule with my other cars, i dono about subaru fitment, but their snowboard holder is pretty sick, it stacks up to 6 boards at a 45 degree angle. they are a little noiser than the yakima though, if that bugs you.

I guess what I meant to say was "crossbars". I still have factory crossbars. It looks like aftermarket thule or yakima may give a little more clearance from the roof. I do have a thule 4 board holder with fatmouth clamps to fit subaru crossbars. Should I keep the subaru crossbars or is it better to go with aftermarket crossbars?
