like the title states i'm thinking about getting rid of a 02-03 wrx longblock. The milage is unknown because i got it from out of state. it was said to be running when taken out of the car. The reason for it was a small lower end noise something i think like rod bearing, timing belt tensioner, or piston slap. Longblock will include intake mainfold, engine harness, and the oil pan. One of the tgv motor?? was damaged during shipping. Other than that everything else was received in great shape. Looking to get 750-800. I'll only part it if there is somebody interested in the other parts. I have no use for a shortblock sitting in my garage. Besides....... the longblock has not been taken apart yet and i see on reason to, unless there are actual buyers for everything. the only thing loose on the motor is the intake manifold and tgv's because it was sent to me like that. The previous owner must of removed it to remove other items or something. Anymore questions be sure to let me know.
Just a data point. I tried to sell my longblock for months and I knew the history and I was 95% sure it had burnt a valve which is a common problem on '02s. Finally sold it for $450.
