Just putting my feelers out there, not committed as of yet. Kinda getting sick of having two WRX's in the family and I starting to think I want something different. So, just wondering what people would think of buying the car. Motor is solid, turbo is new (late last summer), tranny is holding with no synco grinding or gear issues. I haven't done any research yet so I don't even know what i'd sell it for...maybe 11.5K!? Car is very quick and drives great. 110K on the clock 2004 WRX Custom tuned Cobb Access Port FP16g Turbo with SS Oil Line Modified stock 690cc injectors Invidia Up-pipe Invidia Downpipe Cobb Catback Big TMIC APS Twin vent BOV Walboro 255lph fuel pump GM BCS Samco MAF & IC hoses Samco ancillary hoses NGK One step colder plugs Stage 3 Southbend clutch Eibach Prokit Whiteline steering rack bushings Energy suspension shifter bushings Group N Engine Mounts Group N Transmission mounts Group N Dog bone Goodrich Braided brake lines Hawk HPS pads front/rear ARP Strut bar-rear 1000 watt Alpine/Rockford Fosgate sound system Plasma Glow interior lighting Drag DR11 18" wheels with Nexen tires 225 40 Winter wheels- painted black stock wheels wrapped with Blizzak tires Blacked out headlights OEM Grill Mod STI hood scoop STI front canards Debadged Wingless Truck 35% tint First pic- Current summer set-up (16g, etc...) thats too bad, do like i do and get a different kind of car IN ADDITION, to fuel your passion for automobiles, good luck with the sale anyways
yeah, kinda put the last nail in the coffin for this car and my personal interest in it when I spent my short block money on my colorado trip maybe buy a beater for a while so I can save up and buy a nice legacy or forester.
im in no hurry...i just wanna finish up this year in school so i dont have to have a stick for the drive from apple valley to minneapolis every morning...so i was thinking about around summer..
wanna trade for some blue volk TE37's!! If I wasn't unemployed as of April, and looking to buy a house with my wife's income I would snap this up!
I dunno, probably in the 265 awhp area....I'll get it dyno'd before selling. I've been curious. it was dyno'd a coule years ago at stage 2.....nothing recent. My butt dyno says mucho faster than a stage 2.
here's some more info 20.7 peak boost, 18.0 at redline. 1st through 3rd gears are the sweet spot with the set-up.
Dave is getting a Mazda 3 speed...just like Dreamis and Dizmal... and silver03 is getting a the Night Rider (Mustang)
No, no part outs...like chet mentioned, if that was the case I'd throw it on the other 2004 wrx we have. 11.5k might not be the final price if I choose to sell the toy...and it's a toy for sure. ......
heck no. probably buy ricks 2.2L and beat that for a few months while I shop around. either way I'm sure I'll throw stupid money (parts) at the next car and get it atleast as fast....probably faster.
yyyea i like toys, especially fast ones and maybe if i get it this summer, maybe KSAL wont beat me AS bad......
damn! thats cheap as hell! someone is gonna get a great deal on this, I may know a kid that would be interested in this!
Dave Dave Dave...I recognize the symptoms after all those nights of working on it...the IROC camaro bug has finally bit you. I can tell you from experience they are not good year round cars. You can have both...
Rick, the day you see me driving an IROC-Z while listening to Footloose is the day I check myself into a mental hospital..... You better start praying that car is faster than mine, otherwise I'll never stop giving you crap...never.:biggrin:
well if you do decide to sell it, I am very interested. I bought myself a 97 legacy to beat around in this winter, and I think I got infected with the subaru virus.:laugh::laugh:
