fence question

    Ok, so I need to mount wood fence gates to metal poles. I basically need to find hinges that clamp around a 2 3/8 in post and then somehow mount to the 2x4 on the backside of the gate. Also, I need them to open OUT. :ugh:

    Anyone know how to do this or know where to get the right kinda hinges? I scoured home depot and menards with no luck.

    That would be a last resort, i do not weld ;)

    Cool, I just may try that if a certain person who has a similar setup doesn't return my call soon.

    This is the part I need. Simpson Strong Tie part # PGT2-R.

    I can't find anywhere local that stocks them, and one website that says they are in stock want to charge $6.xx ea and the other says they come from an "alternate warehouse" and could take a week to ship out. I guess I could order a box of 50 though Home Depot...Group Buy? ;)

    Anyone know any contractor types that may have 8 laying around???
