Hey, look at what came in the mail today.

I say we buy it as a club. ((I figure it'll cost ~300 to get it here.)) Then depending on how many want to go in on it... we divide the costs.

I would be willing to front MNSubaru the purchase of it if I had enough interested people (cash in hand). If 6 of us wanted it, thats $50 each. 10 at $30 each.

After that it could make the club money. I could see MNSubaru renting a pavilion at a park and having our own car show/bbq?

    I'm serious, I'll buy it.

    It would be included:D

OK, let's do it this way...

I'll start a list, first come, first served. (cash in hand)

$50 (or whatever it drops to if more than 6 want in on the deal) will buy you a spot on the list. You get to roll your fenders first, second, ectera...

If you guys get it, I'll donate a can or two of some "3M Rubberized Undercoating" for those concerned with the winter salt. I can't donate my "Goo Gone," because I'm stingy and I only have one bottle.

Todd, I am most definitely in! I have been waiting for some time for you to get one, I thought you were going to get one a long time ago. The RS is getting race rubber so it will be necessary with 225/45-17. I am currently in Thailand and will be going straight to Cali for Rim to crew for DCH, but when I return I will have the $...

    Todd,

Will we have to repaint our fenders after the fantastic roll? I'd like to see 245 tires on my ride, and I'd like to also roll my DC2.

Count me in........$50.00 or more what ever.

Thanks for org'n this up. ;)

If you(we) apply some heat to the paint while rolling it should not blemish the paint.

The idea is to go slowly and gently. Pushing the inner lip over while applying heat. With care it shouldn't crack the paint. It could... but it shouldn't.

This is to roll the inner lip only. It will not transform you car into a "Wide Body" monster...

It is a dual pattern unit, 4 and 5 lug.

Yes, rolling the fender is just for the inner lip. Rolling the inner lip will free a bit more room for a little wider tire (such as mine). If you're planning to get wider tires, rolling the fender will allow you to use wider rubber only if you have enough room where the strut and tire don't contact.

As El mentioned to me, the KYB GR2 struts are fat struts, so it wouldn't be a smart idea to go wider unless you use some wheel spacers to push out the tires a bit. Wheel spacers will also effect your wheel's offset as it moves the center of the wheel further away from the wheel hub.
