Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

just saw this movie... it was alright. the story was a little confusing to start off with, but everything else was alright. sure beats the other final fantasy movie... and the ending happened way too quickly. amazing cgi though... thumbs up!

i'll try to compress the file and bring it to firestone tomorrow. that'll be my gift for not actively visiting... that's IF i can compress it. awesome quality, i must add... drools! the releas has been set back until early next year. it WAS supposed to come out on the 14th of this month, but you know how sqaresoft-enix is about US releases.

hey, if you have this on DVD with subtitles AND the prequel, then i'm not going to bring any copies tonight. don't want to burn 2 CDs when one DVD can do the job. plus, you'll have to do some cutting and pasting, installing of files with the CDs i have. get back to me so i can have some time on making these CDs if you don't have the complete compilation.

I don't know if it has the prequel or not. (whats the prequel?) Its an hour and a half long and has a DD 5.1 japanese audio track with english and swedish subs I think. Well I'm gonna take off from Duluth in a few here to go to RS motors then I'll be heading to the Firestone meet.

well, i was there tonight, with 4 copies... came home with 3 copies. LVT was the only soul who wanted one, so he got one. no one else cared for one, i guess.

Did anyone happen to find the original DVD rip of this somewhere? I wouldn't mind putting on a 4GB download if there were enough seeders out there to keep the speeds up. The copy I have is the typical "compressed down to j-spec VCD" but I'm more interested in seeing some of the detail in the CG a little better. They certainly did a good job of it from what I can see already.

As for the film itself it seemed like it could have been better. I was actually surprised it went on for more than an hour. It was really cool to see the fully-CG representations of the FF7 crew though. Best part of it was Nobuo Uematsu going over the old music again. I think he was even in town here not too long ago.

What sort of problems are you guys having playing the film? Other than the required codec all you need is VLC to playback pretty much anything. If it isn't pulling the soft subs you may need to rename the file extension to .sub or download VOBSub which reads from pretty much any sub format and plays with WMP. You just need to make sure the video and the subs file are named the exact same thing before the file extension.

got home threw it in the DVD on the plasma and WOW its really sweet. i am unsure of what the prequel is, but the movie is awsome

I doubt the prequel will fit, that copy took up 98% of the disc.

having watched the movie for the second time i noticed something really cool! clouds motorcycle has a boxer engine! if you look closely you can see that it has heads that come out of the bike at 180 degrees from each other.
