Isn't that an EJ257 block not an EJ25? There is quite a difference.

ej257 is just the code, it will say ej25 on the block, just like a usdm 2.0 is a ej205, LGT and FXT block is a ej255 n/a sohc 2.5 is a ej253 so on and so forth.

right now I have my EJ22T split and putting in new bearings. The bearing on cylinder #4 is no good. It scored into the bearing and the crank is scored as well. BUT I have an EJ22E sitting here as well.... hahahha so it's a quick swap over. I WIN!

Dont recall that, but yeah, they are an open deck motor, either way, the amount of power it would take to need a closed deck block on that 6 cyl would be in the 900s at least
