....well I was heading back from Firestone, and I was riding on the street, which in the book says we have to. SO I come to the stop light on Victoria going east. Light turns green and I somewhat shoot out of the hole and go down the street. Then I slow down to a slower cruising speed....next thing you know I hear a motorcycle coming near, I thought it was going to make a right, so I slow down some and keep on going straight, that is until he got next to me and that's when I saw that it was that cop that was on the motorcycle.

He says something along the lines, "How come you don't have lights on your bike?"
    I'm like, " ??? "
Him, "You're suppose to have lights in front and back on your bike when you ride at night on the street. You don't even have reflectors"
I point out in the rear "I have them." and I also point on my pedals. But I don't have it on the rear wheel and the front one on the handle, opps.
"You have a helmet, which is good, but the rest of your body can get run over. Technically you're suppose to ride on the street, but the safest is on the sidewalk. So until you get lights on your bike, ride on the sidewalk."

SO I get on the sidewalk and ride there. Time to get lights on my bike?

you should have pretended you were mexican and cant speak english.
thats totally stupid btw, cops should not pull you over for not having reflectors... they are not even required anymore.

he just wanted to see if you were drunk or smelled like pot.

or maybe he thought you had a cute ass.

Wrong place, wrong time. Fuji, you're gonna have to stay home if you don't want to get harassed from the cops from now on. :p

The cop is right though, but what about all the other bikers w/o lights?

#1 first thing you do is take off those reflectors...
they will do noting for you.
if someone is going to hit you, a few little circles of reflectivity are going to do noting...
you need some of those bright red blinking leds for night time cycling....
