Hey, my name is Adam and I've been looking for awhile and finally pulled the trigger on an '11 STI. I don't have any pics yet, but the ad is still up on CL (also not good pictures): http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/cto/3823101794.html A good choice I hope!!! It's fun, I like it a lot, but I would't mind trading trunk lids with someone with a DGM WRX if I could find one. Other than that I'll probably leave it mostly stock, at least until the warranty is up. I did realize that it has a K&N intake on it, and I'm pretty sure is not tuned at all which from what I read is not good? So I guess I'll either be posting in the WTB section looking for the stock airbox, or looking for a tune now.
Contact NF Performance for a Stage 1 tune. Both you and your car will enjoy it. Welcome to the site!!

If it is just a drop in filter then a tune is not required. If your intake is replaced with a K&N short ram (Hot Air) intake then I would suggest a tune. Derek
That sounds great but unfortunately I'll be out of town. Thanks for the heads up though, maybe next year.
Well, you did scare me a little bit. Do you say that because it's been run with an intake and no tune? Or just in general? It's a K&N Typhoon intake. Now that I'm getting used to the car, I can tell that it doesn't run quite right. Doesn't idle quite right, and has some rough spots through the RPM range (especially a hiccup at about 4.5k). I found a thread where someone with this exact intake proved that his car ran like crap without a tune: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2468443 I'm not going to drive it much or hard until I get this taken care of. I sent a message to the previous owner to see if he has the stock parts. If not I'll either post in the WTB section here, or just have NF tune it. Wish I would've known this before, but the car is mine now so I'll correct the problem and deal with whatever happens.
