    Hey Eveyone,

After years of wanting one, I purchased a Subaru Outback XT ('05). I had totaled my old commuter car and needed something I could haul the dog and wife around in, and came across a good deal on this one. Quickly became addicted to the power!......my wife's Passat turbo feels like it's dragging an anchor when I get back in it. I've put about 10K miles on the car so far driving very lightly, but have had to replace a wheel-bearing, which I knew was common, the passenger side front axle, because the inner CV boot broke open, and the driveshaft, because my U-joints were going out. I got a deal on some of the work from the guy I bought it from because he owns a shop.

Anyway, 2 weeks ago, was driving up to the cities from Mankato and lost power leaving a stop-light....like the turbo just went out. Pulled over right away, checked everything, and after a while started to drive again and it accelerated normal.....then all of a sudden, heard a click and lost power again. Limped it a gas station and had a buddy flat-bed it back to Mankato. No CELs and idles fine.

Does anyone know of a good shop around the Mankato area? There's not a Subie dealer here, not that I'd want to go to the stealer anyway, but I've only lived here a year and a half and normally all work I get done is at a shop in Rochester. Really don't feel like flat-bedding it all the way over there.

    Thanks for the help!
