Check out Derek's presents We really miss the snow but I think we will get over it. We both spent the better part of the day driving around St.Petersburg realllllly fast. I think I would end up in jail within a week with either of these cars. The R8 is a monster to drive, the clutch system is just insane. It will not go slow, the guy I passed in the Porsche tried to catch us but NO chance. The GTR is sneaky fast and comfy. The cops follwed Derek for about 2 miles after they caught up with him but never pulled him over, they did pull up along side to take a look at the car. The R8 is my choice but the GTR is just soooooo nice and easy to drive. Best Wishes from the Wagner family
Yeah.... Came straight back from a trip that took me to Germany, Italy, Singapore, India, then to Orlando. Derek came in from school December 12th. Go find something warm.
My garage takes 8 hours to warm up I can't even imagine driving two of the hottest cars of the decade back to back. What do you feel compared to what the mag rags say? They give the R8 the one up, but not by much. Considering it's about double the price, is it worth it?
You guys are lucky, I really miss FL right now! Always saw hot cars like that driving around to. Im Sad now. Look like you had a good time though!!
The R8 is my choice just because it is sooooo unique. The technology is really crazy. There is almost no lag at all and the transmission is just insane, the automatic mode is not good, you must use the padal shifters for real fun. The handling is nuetral, the tires stick like glue and the seats are very comfy with alot of support. The sound is something you never forget, the looks you get when driving it are pretty crazy. I am glad the car is fast because I had people driving like idots in order to get a look at the car. One poor 350z modified car was embaresed when I slowed to let him catch up only leave him in the dust from a 55mph roll. The GTR is a bit faster reaching 145 on a run where the R8 only hit 143, same distance. Don't ask how I know this. There was one unsuspecting Porche RS that feel victim to the GTR with Derek behind the wheel, he had no chance. Conclusion: I want BOTH hehe. The real difference is that I could see the GTR as a daily driver. Where the R8 would be a track car and occasional driver. The GTR wins in my book based on the value, this is a supercar with manors. For those that don't buy into the Corvette mold this would be the car. That said if I had the money it would be the R8 with the GTR as a daily driver. Mike
Kinda, we sell racing simulators, www.racesimsrus.com We will be in Florida supporting existing clients at the 24hr Rolex race as well as the Daytona 500. I guess you could call it the drug of choice for speedfreaks.
No, a client of ours is a collector living in St. Pete, we see him every year about this time to upgrade his SIM. Check out his collection. http://www.yearsofwheels.com/
