    but no way of licensing it, but then all you need is a donor car and transfer everything and i mean everything, alot of work but it would be worth it :twisted:

    Just take a vin plate off of a salvage or totaled impreza and swap! BAM! JDM licensed WRX SON!

    ok, no (legal way) to license it, trust me if i bought it that's probably what i would do, and i just happen to have a parts impreza, i just don't have an extra 10,000 dollars laying around :lol:

    The VIN swap only works on older cars that only had the VIN on the engine block.

    Our mini cooper is legalized in this way. The car that the vin came off of was summarily crushed and melted.

    hehe, not if you swap ALL the vins..... it kinda sucks on newer cars that almost EVERY part has the original VIN on it, which is usually a tamper-proof sticker.

    i saw it awhile ago...its not a RA, i dont even know if its a STi.......notice it has a sunroof...i dont know of any STi that came with a sunroof. they dont even mention anything about it being customize...i could be wrong.

    my understanding is that that shape and model STi was only in 2door... thats how it was in AUstralia... but I could be wrong....

    It is most likely a 1997 or 1998 and it is certainly a WRX, all 217 hp of it. But it is not an STI. It has had a 22b conversion front end put on and STI seats installed. The rest looks to be genuine JDM, Rear wiper, rear automatic Antenna...

    Look at the engine, no red manifold.
    No carbon strut brace (stock on that vintage STIs)
    No limited 1 of 555 tag in the coin tray.
