mod im not sure if im in the right place so if you spot this can you move it to where it should be thanks... okay, is there a winrar app for mac osx? thanks solomon
I'd assume so. Mac osx wuld not have been hailed for saving the company without a file compression/decompression program. google perhaps?
I've been using "The Unarchiver" (though many others use StuffIt). On windows machines I swear by winrar, I may check out the Mac version as I didn't realize it existed. Resources: http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html http://www.stuffit.com
you can also use Tugzip....it has all compression file types...pretty much in existence including TAR which...no one uses unless you are a linux boy but still..if you want to cover all the bases...use tugzip
I also thought there was a program available to most unix OS's called "unrar" ? prhaps that was just Gentoo. But it's all command line, so i doubt you'd want it.
I still thought that it was a lot more user-friendly than some of the other Linux distros I have used in the past. Like Debian.
debian is for hardcore users though...it actually was one of the harder distros to install to...but debian is also a engineer's flavor because you can program with it and stuff..least thats what im told..i never really messed with it short of an install
