Tempting... but my 225/45/17s already rub on my fenders, so these would probably not be a good idea. GL & hope someone brings these to orr.
If you do take them, they are free. If you want me to finish trimming the bolts, that's gonna cost you, as I've gotta hack at them with the bolt cutters. It can be done though. But figure you are getting a set of free tires (or tyres if you are european or a douchenozzle american) with 1/4-20 bolts through them (100 per tire), with all the bolts there. You will want to mount them to a standard 17x7 or 17x7.5 wheel and fill them with some sort of sealant (green stuff, fix a flat, etc...) or possibly run a tube. THESE ARE NOT FOR USE ON PUBLIC ROADS. IF YOU PUT THESE ON AND TRY DRIVING ON THE STREET YOU WILL LIKELY RUIN THEM, OR AT THE VERY LEAST, GET ARRESTED.
I hope someone picks these up and uses them for their intended purpose. But if not, that's almost a lifetime supply of 1/4-20 bolts, nuts and washers for free... I think some counties will let you recycle tires for free (Anoka allows four per year per household), but you'd probably have to pull all the bolts back out.
Yeah, seriously, you're getting nearly 150 dollars in stainless steel hardware for free by taking these
The tyres are in Cottage Grove if I'm not mistaken. The internet experts say you need at least 125 studs per tyre to be worth a damn. I'm not a dochenozzle yet. I don't own a BMW. Yet.
When are you available? and confirm cottage grove for location. i assume you never mounted these to see if they hold air. regardless. looks like fun and i like fun. Dan
I'll be home all weekend more than likely. Otherwise, when I'm out of town, Aegis is there all day too.
Dan - you should pick these up, it would be f'ing awesome like when we studded our bike tires, but better. I think i read they do hold air.
Yeah they will hold air, but keep a can of the fix a flat stuff around just in case. Jason was going to put it in them anyway just to be sure.
ttt, we have another guy who wants these if you don't, dmoo. Send the PM to me - is it just our address/times that are good that you need?
