Just got an Xbox 360 and this game. I cant stop playing. I love that game. Post your favorite car( aside from subbie of course) I've got an mk2 golf gti with full r32 swap and the biggest turbo, plus all the internals and suspension mods. The car puts out 680hp and is totally sick. The P.I. is U999:eek4:
I agree with Chris, I have played the original Forza and the modification and damage parts were sorta fun but the realism in the game play is just not that of the Gran Turismo series. Although I have yet to play Forza 2 I would guess that me waiting for a PS3 & GT5 is gonna make me much happier than buying a 360 and Forza 2
It's a ton of fun, but I just have too many new games to play to go back to it. Between Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, Call of Duty 4 (which is amazing online), and Halo3... yeah I buy too many games. I still haven't played Bioshock or Mass Effect yet either, which look amazing.
i honestly wasnt overly impressed with Forza 2 either, i own and have played alot of Forza, but its just not there. motor swaps and damage are nice, but you shouldn't have to sacrifice gameplay and realism to get it
The realism in Forza2 is bumped up quite a bit. I really prefer it over GT4. It may feel a bit more arcadey at times, but GT4 really isn't a good 'sim' anyways. The AI just sucks and never feels like they're racing, just following a line. Also, online play in Forza2 FTW.
I have a copy of GT4 I could get rid of. I no longer have a PS2 so it's just sitting. Yes, you can do upgrades, but it's a lot more cookie cutter than in Forza, where many parts are customized based on the manufacturer or model of car. I like that you can swap engines from other Subaru's for example into any Subaru.
I love Forza2, I used to play for hours. graphics are good. mechanics are good and the online fun is great! I have several Mean rides including an AWD RB26DETT S14 that has to slow down to make the turns on Nissan Speedway. The most fun car to drive would be my 500hp CRX, it's blue and says "3 inch anal beads" on it's side.
Are you serious? We have been doing a GT4 contest now for how long (keep in mind it's the second one this forum has seen). Yes there is modifications you can make, GT2 was my favorite for that with the race modification you could do to the cars that put a wing and body kit on everything LOL.
Word? I guess I wasn't into Subaru's back then I may need to go buy a used copy. I wonder if it works on PS2?
Forza 2 = SEX I just gave my buddy my ps2 with GT4 because i hated it. Probably because you can get wheel spin in a AWD car in 4th gear, soooo real! With or without the lame nitrous! Theres no visual damage. Its like road racing with bumper cars! But i do like the used car section. The graphics on Forza 2 are awsome the add a plasma tv, and they are insane! The motor sounds are crazy! Turbo spools and supercharger whines.....:yumyum:
yep, thats what i like bout forza2. I got a 42" plasma and hdmi cables and it feels like you are inside the car.
Dude, wtf? really? I'll bring gt4 over later... and trade you straight up for the 360 and forza2:biggrin:
Well, it is a Sony-developed game. They have to have something exclusive to sell PS3's! They are really hurting on software at this stage in the game.
Forza ftmfw! taras u should start up a competetion like gt4 thread.. id be into that once i grab my copy of forza 2(soon)
You should do time attacks, with different classes. I have played xbox live and it is a lot of fun, but with my internet i get a lot of lag because i have clearwire wireless internet. But if you want to start with something easy do either class D or C.
Playing forza 2 right now, it dosn't look as pretty as Gran Turismo, but as a former GT fanatic, I gotta say Forza is way more fun. Oh yeah, kinda OT, but Mass Effect might be my favorite game so far for the 360.
QFT, you can turn off the simulation/dmg in Forza2 if it bugs you.. but if you want a race SIMULATOR.. Forza2 (best right now anyway...*waits patiently for gt5*)
I've had it since it came out. I just recently got back into it when I bought the microsoft steering wheel. It brought it back to life for me. Takes some getting use too, but the forcefeedback is neat.
they have them in tokyo extreme drift 2, another awesome game, kind of cheezy, but they have 1990-94 legacies!
Yes, really nice pedals. I was afraid they were going to be fragile, but I've mashed them pretty hard and they feel very sturdy. The whole kit is very well constructed. I've always stayed away from these kinds of peripherals for fear of them being cheap. This thing is a tank! I have a low lounge chair I sit in, I have the pedals on the floor, and I have the steering wheel in my lap. I keep the table mount on the steering wheel, and let it sit by my knees. The wheel has a lap rest, but it tends to move around too much with the force feedback. I leave the narrow table clamp piece attached to anchor it better. It makes sense when you use it. I understand it may sound weird as described, but it works.
