Ive been searching for months for a 22B replica body kit. I found one for a 4 door thats made in Europe, but i want a 2 door kit.

so finally i found one that is incredible. ive searched tons of forums and noticed that alot of people have had the mod in the back of their head, but havent either found the right kit, or the right price.

well guess what, i found it!

the company is called AeroSim Research, and its based out of California.

The owner, or at least creator of the kit, used to work for team EuroSportRally, but got screwed over in that company, and either created or joined AeroSim.

They make a carbon fiber kit for $3,700. It includes 2 fenders, 2 quarters, spacer & hub kit, front 22b bumber and rear 22b bumper. they offer a fiberglass version for cheaper, but they do not have a price listed.

    the website is http://www.aerosim-research.com

    click on "Services"

then "Subaru Wide body kits and accessories"

    then "Impreza (GC8) carbon widebody"

then "Pictures of kit in progress"

on the bottom left hand side of each page is a link to the next page of pictures, its kindof hard to see the link so i thot id point it out.

anyway, i thought that i would let all of you guys in on it. ive talked to everybody about this particular kit, and so far, no one has heard of it around here. the company is a smaller size, and does not want to make a production line of the kit, just specialized for each customer.

lemme know what you guys think. and if you have heard of the company, tell me what youve heard, because i have the money in my account ready to order it, i just dont want to get $*%@ed over.

    -Tommy

P.S. If someone gets a hold of them, lemme know, because the phone number on their website is junk. and i havent gotten a hold of anyone via the provided e-mail.

This was an amazing kit. However IIRC the company canned it a few years ago. I tried to follow up on it but all i heard is that they had the prototype ready to paint and that they probably would never make the thing on scale.

Try asking around on Nasioc/I-club/RS25 Someone on there might know more. Aerosim has an account on nasioc i think, you might try messaging them.

Power to ya if you order this up. it looks to be an amzing kit.

big sale going on from HT autos.

In my opinion, if you're going to go all out and widebody. you should track down some of the old Prodrive WRC car fenders and quarters. they'll run you some $5000, but they're oem fitment and stamped from steel. can't beat that.

HTAutos makes a REAL nice kit. take a look at some of their pics on RS25. really nice work. Especially on wagons.

We had some rally cars running widebody kits several year back. It was the Knight racing crew from CA. I'd have to look up the guy who ran the group, he was pretty knowledgeable overall. They weren't quite WRC spec but they certainly dealt with a lot of bumps and held up well. I did hear of a halfshaft going out on one at high speeds so they went to bigger ones. I doubt you'd need to go that far for a street car though, just make sure to do all the suspension proper.

yeah there is also a kit on Japan-parts.com but its not cheap at all, and its realy hard to tell the quality of it. I will most likely go with the HTAutos one someday, but I am not ready to repaint the whole car yet.
