Soooo... I'm not new here, but I just picked up a "new" Subie so I figured I would share. I haven't been around much lately, life's been a little busy, yada yada yada. Some of you know Ethel, my gold '84 GL wagon. While I love her to death, she hasn't been the most reliable DD. Tons of exhaust problems and the most recent issue is the rear drive shaft crapping out. :/ With a 35 mile one way, nearly daily commute, I decided to find a gal half her age... ENTER "Red". I had to drive 150 one way to get her, but I think she was worth it: 1999 Red Leggy GT AT wagon. She's only had 2 owners (both of which were older). All stock + a tow package added. I'll have to take some more photos later. She's pretty damn clean outside and spotless inside. 105k miles. ...I think she's a knockout.
I've always loved LGTs... especially second generation models. I saw this one and was like, really?.. 105k miles?, red?. Yes please. I do usually prefer a mt, but a sacrifice I think I can live with.
I always knew about your thing for Gingers! Ethel must know it's over if you're making a public announcement? Are you taking some "time apart", or is this a permanent split/divorce? Lawlz
Sweet mother of the gods that is a clean looking Legacy for Minnesota. Nice find, very nice find. I have been rocking a 97 this winter and have been digging it. No where near as nice as that though. What is this separation you speak of?
Clean- That's why I didn't mind driving up by Brainerd to get her. Two owners (matured adults) and 105k. I think she spent most of her time parked in a garage when not making trips to the supermarket or church. Separation is from Ethel, my 84 GL. She's with Yusef at the moment... missing a drive shaft and leaking tranny fluid.
Wow congrats on the find! She is super clean, my 97' wagon had more rust than actual body panel. Enjoy her!
