Ok so I was in town this weekend looking for a place and was looking all over the city and burbs. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on the areas Stevens Community 128 E 18th st Minneapolis, MN (The only issue would be parking there is currently a waiting list to get a spot in the lots. good rate though 835/month utilties incudes minus electric) Bristol Village 7301 Bristol Village Drive Bloomington, MN (town home good size just seems a bit far out from the city alittle more expensive then steven but i have a single car garage) 225 W. 28th St. Minneapolis, MN this condo is actually for sale but I'm trying to maybe get a rent to own deal. so basicly i saw the area for a short time but its kinda hard to say what its really like. any thoughts?? discuss
This is a pretty ****ty neighborhood. I use the Ace Hardware that's about 3 blocks away, and I worry about leaving my car there for too long. What are you looking for and what's kind of rate are you looking for.
thanks for the heads up i was looking for something around if not under 1,000 a month. Trying to save as much money as possible for buying a place in the future as well as have spare change to work on the car. I just got a phone call from the people doing the application for the bristol village place and some how got the address of some of my apts I rented back in college with some friends.... lets hope they dont call some of those place
I live in the Laurel Village Complex on Hennepin. My rent's slightly above $1000/mo on a 1 bedroom. They have (slightly) cheaper stuff and some studios. Heated parking $60/mo more. Park in my spot and I'll cut you. Get drunk and stagger home FTW.
I talked to those guys looked like a decent place... some people complained about the staff on some apartment rating sights. the only problem is i need a den or a 2nd bedroom to use as an office. Nice thing i dont have to worry about traffic for my drive to work every morning bad thing i have to have a slightly bigger place.
I might consider rent to own on my condo. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/26-10th-St-W-UNIT-1607-Saint-Paul-MN-55102/2143069_zpid
Yeah, i saw those complaints, but they seem like sour grapes. Never have had an issue. If something breaks, fixed same day. But yeah, 2BRs here are not that cheap.
Wayzata Woods. I live there and its really nice. Not sure what you're exactly looking for, but for a nice 2br apt in Wayzata (really really good neighborhood) for under 850.... Can't really complain. Underground parking available too. Also its a drunken stumbling distance from Lunds and a Chipotle, too. haha
I don't know if the area of the 28th street that that condo is like this, but a huge number of prostitution arrests come from 28th Ave At minimum, drive by at like midnight.
Bloomington is not that far away from the city..73rd is not bad at all..I live off 106th in Bloomington and I don't thinks its that bad and I am used to living in the city.
