I'd go with Deadbolt because of their warranty, thermal coating and they include all of the extra junk you need to install it.

FP, quite a bit cheaper ($1295 vs. $824 = $450) , flows a little bit more than the DB (about 10 CFM, not noticeable), and now does come with all hardware to install (i.e. banjos, etc). Not only that, the warrantee is nice on the DB, but when are you ever going to make use of it? Most people aren't going to take their turbo off and be carless for a few weeks while their turbo is being rebuilt...

just my .02 and the deciding factors i brought into the equation when I decided on my choice.

Do the db turbo, and make sure you get the port, polish, and thermal coatings. Even when fp says they port their turbos, they don't (or not to the same caliber as db). I was actually going to send my fp18 into db for all the p&p and coatings to be done. I would also go with the super 16g of the 18g for the 5 speed. The lag vs the hp difference between the 2 isn't worth getting the 18g.

DB by far. The only complaint is the turnaround time isn't always great... but the turbos always come back looking unbelievable.

PM tintmasters here... they are a deadbolt dealer.

I've heard that many times. The 18g makes around the same power as a Super 16g but with the lag of a 20g. So basically go Super 16g or all out with the 20g, with 18g you're getting the worst of both worlds...
