    You might be at the wrong end of the spectrum.

    Beyond 8 x 10^14 would be above the violet range of light, and therefore, outside of the visible spectrum.

    I am not really going to do the math here, but there are a few things of note.

    First, it wont matter anyway what color the light is, as the speed you are going in MPH exceeds C, and therefore violates the fundamental laws of physics. But even if you could achieve the speed of light in a vehicle like a car, relativity says that your mass would become infinite. You would pretty much vaporize under the crushing gravity of your own mass.

    Ahh, there we go, lol. Yeah, I kinda figured what you were up to, but the numbers weren't adding up in my head.

    so yeah 1/3 c is the speed that you'd have to go for a red light to be green due to the Doppler effect - that "speedo" up there is calibrated so that 8.4 on the guage is 1/c in MPH

    Sounds about right. The math makes rough sense. Wasn't thinking doppler though, nice move there.
