My girlfriend and I just got screwed out of two tickets to AZ to visit her grandparents because Delta said we were"two minutes late" to check our baggage. I literally watched the last guy's bag go on the conveyor in front of me.

I'm begging - pleading any of you for even a DEAL on 2 tickets to Phoenix on the 4th. Even 5th. Please please please.

    Thank you for your time.

I'm not sure, I might be able to help, I have miles on a few airlines, are they transferable to other users?

how do you miss out on tickets when you missed checking your bags, wouldn't you be able to just carry your bags on?

your old tickets shoud have some value from what I understand?

I had this happen to me cept I was a minute late for a flight. They ended up putting me on a later flight. I ran to the gate and still got on my normal flight, bags were just on the later one.

umm yeah, what that guy said. If the airlines took your money and didn't offer you another flight just because you were a bit late ... they'd be so sued. I find it hard to believe that nobody tried to work with you to get another flight.

Just got a text from him, Delta unscrewed him and got him on a flight out today for no charge. Apparently, someone got word of what happened and figured out something wasn't right. After talking to him last night, it seems that lower tiered customer service at Delta is severely lacking......He was basically told that he would be purchasing a new ticket no matter what, and the $400 he spent already was a drop in the bucket for them......Guess airlines don't need more customers these days huh?

I flew with delta a couple of times and my experiences with them have not been good. Especially on international flights, my luggage was lost. I'm glad the OP got it all worked out.

Shibbs, you seem to be attracting alot of bad customer service lately. First the mats, now this. Is this a new disease that us, your fellow gingers, need to start worrying about?
