Fresh pasta is FTW. I highly recommend it. I just got a pasta machine, and now I am officially spoiled.

I am open to comments or requests for advice in this thread. Making your own pasta is time-consuming, but well worth it. :)

You need a machine omgfayulchef! hahaha. I've made fresh pasta a few times myself. Always fettucini, always delicious!:yumyum:

I've never thought that it was too time consuming tho and if you enjoy cooking at all, you'll enjoy making it. And nomming it!

Time consuming, yes, but sooo worth it.

Try using 50% buckwheat flour. FTW.

I just got a machine for my birthday...and made a simple thrown-together pasta with stuff we had laying around and it was fantastic :yumyum:

Sounds tasty, I will try that sometime. The first one I made was half semolina, half AP.

I'll have to come back over sometime to see what this machine is all about! Sounds cool to me if it makes it even quicker.

I've been grooving on "fresh" spinach pasta from Coborns lately. They have a nice basil one too. Maybe try something pesto-y right in the pasta itself?

You can put pretty much anything you want in there, you just need to adjust your wet/dry ratio accordingly. I have also seen it with cracked peppercrns, roasted red peppers, etc.

    Do it!
Here it is. Nothing crazy, just makes the cutting/rolling easier. ;)

Oh, I will hook you up for sure. I just need to find some time...wherever that is, lol.

if you want something absolutely amazing(if you can handle spicy) make your own tort, put some cheese, paprika, chili powder, and cayenne pepper inside. then cut of some boneless skinless chicken breast and put some olive oil in a pan and cook the chicken in it. as its cooking throw some more of the paprika, chili powder, and cay pepper on it(put however much you want on.. to your spicy liking level lol) as the chicken and tort is getting close to being done.. take a half of an apple and cut it up into very small peices.. put it in with the chicken. It should only cook for a couple mins on low heat and put a small amount of cinnimon over everything(very small amount) Then take a giant bowl and toss everything together...oil chicken and tort. you can eat it with or without sauce. if you do sauce make sure its white cause red tastes like ****..
