Who else is planning to leave for the Ice Races on Friday morning? A group of us is leaving at 9 AM on Friday. Meeting place is the Rainbow on University and Snelling (see map for directions). If there are people from the Northern or Eastern burbs that are interested, we could stop at the Target in Forest Lake to pick them up, as well. We would likely be stopping by this location at around 9:30 AM. Here's the planned driving route. Current List: 1)Bullwinkle 2)TonyM 3)Scuba Steve 4)Tangledupinblue 5)BossSTI 6)Blake (Flake @ 9:30) 7)Flatline (Flake @ 9:30) 8)Justin! 9)Wrexinator (Flake @ 9:30)
We will be leaving Friday morning as well, but ill be pulling a trailer so ill probably be driving slower than ya'll. We'll probably just meet you guys up there.
lolz, hrm not sure how I got Sept in there. Back to work after vacation fail . Any mod want to fix that for me?
Fixt... and I think you need to get your butt out of bed a bit earlier, 10AM is tooooooo late. I will plead with you to leave at 8:30 or 9AM at the latest
That's fine if thats what people want to do. I'll probably be up but was going to relax with my coffee, but I suppose I can do that in the car. 8 or 9 am better for people?
^^I thinks meeting at 8:30 with the plan to leave AT 9AM would be better. that way we'll get up there with plenty of day light and give us time to stop a couple times along the way for gas and such
Why don't you show up at 7:30. We all know how you need to stop for gas, buy smokes, take a leak, and check the tires after you get to the meeting place.
Trailer for the bikes But I do have an extra sled that I would like to bring up if you can haul it that would be ultra mega sweet. Pm sent.
I'm leaving Friday morning, but I'm unsure where from. It could me Mankato or Shakopee. I want to leave sometime between 6 or 7 though.
If anyone in the st cloud area wants to meet me somewhere, I'll be leaving EARLY sat morning, somewhere in the neighborhood of 4am
I'm pretty sure the GF & I will be heading up Friday to save hotel $$ for Thursday since we wouldn't get there until WAY late anyway. Considering my out-of-town-trip-car-troubles I probably ought to drag my lazy butt out of bed and drive up with all you folk. So, count me in.
Ok, I will officially be leaving Thursday evening. Count me out for the Fri. caravan. Looks like we will be making the solo run.
Right now I don't know if I'm comfortable driving my beater wagon up there in its present state. I'm also not sure if I'll have time before then to fix the issues, namely one or two roasted wheel bearings, and the fact that I cannot put more than five gallons in the tank without it leaking. It might just be the filler neck, and it might not. If I could have a possible ride up there and back lined up, that would be sweet. I'd split gas up and back. A smoking car would be a plus.
Hmmmmm. This event will be at the end of my first week of class for the semester. I might be able to do it, since it is the first week, afterall. Usually the first week is a bunch of nothing with no homework due, as you already know. Also, my car situation depends on if/when the boss decides to shut the plant down next week. If I have time to rectify the issues with my beater I will. There is a chance I may be able to skip all of thursday and friday. I can talk to the profs this week when I'm down there and see how crucial those days are.
Whatever. It's no big deal, really. I'm just going to have a good time. I don't HAVE to have my car there to enjoy myself. I log plenty of sideways miles during the winter.
if the gf and i decide to go, someone should give me a jingle when you hit cloquet so i could get out on the highway and join the cruise.
Sure, you let us know as we get closer to the date. Feel free to PM me your cell #. Removed Jeff . Ringo, you still planning on going and need a ride?
jeff, your more then welcome to ride with me if you wish. I would most likely be leaving thrusday evening, or early, early friday
Not to get in your business Jeff but have you paid up yet? If so why not go, have fun with people that care about you and then move to Texas knowing you went out in a bang not a smash.
