Friday January 15th am caravan to the ice races

Beth and I wanna get there ASAP so we will be leaving just after rush hour.

We will be at the north side of ridgedale mall at 830am and leaving at 9am.

Drive to forest lake and drive through the target parking lot between 930 and 10 (I will post on this thread when we are leaving the mall), those that are there and want to get in line can, but we will not be stopping just rolling through collecting some followers and then moving on.

I have been debating taking the whole day friday off or working a half day... I may just "work" a half day and work from the road. I'll know for sure when I get back to MN on Sunday

I would not want the forest lake meet to be a half hour or anything, more of a roll through the lot and whos there starts their car and gets in line :laugh:

we have 3 people in my car already... now we will be going through chan/ chaska on our way to ridgedale... I am willing to get you to ridgedale, but I think 4 people with all the stuff my wife insists on bringing would be tight for that long of a haul....

I'm willing to travel within the cities. I just don't want to spend the money on fuel for the whole trip by myself in the beater wagon when cash is tight. I'll throw down on fuel with whoever though. That and I'd have to fix the rusty and leaking fuel filler neck in the wagon so I could put more than six gallons in at a time.

 

If anybody wants to come Thursday I can give you a better price if you are broke. Pm me

Friday morning sounds good for me too! Caravan FTW, I've got 2 two-way radios.

I'll be driving alone, so if anyone wants to hop in my car, that'd be cool.

I have some 2 way radios. the range is about a mile or so and it has the digital channels too... nothing special... just some basic 2 way radios..... but I can bring them too if needed.

I think brian has some too. if i remember right from our Ojibwe trip.

 

Yes, bring 2 way radio's other wise caravaning is not as much fun without the radio bantering.

I'll have the MNSOC radios with me that can be rented for $5. I would need every radio back once we arrive in Orr.

 

Ok so we have my Two radios. Someone else said that they have two radios.

How many cars do we have driving up? Vs amount of radios we need?

As Derek said, I'll have a couple radios as well. And an extra spot in the back seat if you're small enough and need a ride. Tall people should not apply, considering the time to get up there.

depending on when our passanger gets to my house thursday, we may head up thursday night... I will keep you all posted if that happens so you know not to wait for me friday morning...
