ok, so i picked up a little sanyo fridge from my work for free, almost brand new. It was working fine up until a girl at work decided to defrost it, she unplugged it for three days, then went to go plug it back in and it never got cold. They ordered a new one and i decided to take it home. Anyone have any advice or know anything about these mini fridges for repair?

see if the compressor is working, see how dirty the fins are, check the refrigerent charge...

Just gave it a good look over, and it looks like there is a puncture in the frezzer part of it, where the freon(sp?) would flow thru.

So this has been run like this for a while, has all the gas escaped? do i need to get it recharged? or do fridges produce the cooling agents on there own? I am going to seal the small puncture with some jb weld, its a tiny hole so i am hoping this will work.

Did it have to be re filled? or was a new fridge purchased?

He purchased a new one for me

I'm just taking a shot here but, I believe it's repairable, maybe a new line and then recharged, kinda like a car
    *shrugs*

You should call up some appliance repair shop and see what they'll say.

thats what i will do. I can just replace the line, as the puncture is in the freezer portion and runs thru the actual metal freezer shelf.
