I'm looking at doing a frontmount on my 02 wrx. I'm building my own pipe kit, so I just need to figure out which i/c to use. Can some folks tell me how big their frontmounts are? Even better I'd love to take a good close look at some setups. If anyone else built their own fmic kit where did you get your ic?

I already have all the couplers/piping, and a willing cohort with welding skills and an itch to build a pipe kit. I've been looking on ebay at some, I'm really trying to pick the proper size. Most of the ones i've seen are like 31" (including tanks)x12"x4". Would something like this fit?

fitment was alright, there were things that really really pissed me off about it, but overall it was pretty good. the turbo connection was all messed up as they assumed apparently you had a GT35R or something, the core that we were supposed to get was a 3" but all they had was 4" cores, so we gladly took it, but the inlet and outlet were half an inch larger on the IC than the piping, also, the piping was sitting at a semi-odd angle and was too short with the 4" core caus i dont think it was as long. minor set backs, but i think if you got the kit with the 3" core and the actual bumper beam your good.

Soooo tempting....how big of a hurry are you in to get rid of it? I have to do the clutch this weekend, and I need to track down a cobb or spt short ram. There's still a couple of details to work out.

ssac fmic 295 shipped and its damn nice, all you need is an air filter to fit the maf pipe(included) and an elbow. I'm very happy with mine, not even just for the money. its a good kit
