Well, it is that time of year again. I will be doing another frozen rotor group buy. I would like to get things finalized by the end of January so we would have a mid Feb delivery date. I will get with Mark this week and get some updated prices on the usually items. This DOES NOT need to be Subaru only items. Any vehicle that needs rotors and pads, let me know. Also, they can cryo treat parts for anything else. I know a bunch of people swear by cryo treating gun barrels, motor parts, tranny parts, etc. Let me know what you are interested in and I will be sure to get prices and such.

HA! About time. I called them a while back. They told me to wait for the group buy. I'm in. I need a set of rotors for my 02. Going to put on 4 pots. I'm interested in the zinc (or whatever they recommend) coating. No slots or holes. Just regular frozen coated rotors. Depending on the price, I may opt for a set of rears.

I'll be in need of 94 Legacy SS stuff and possibly another, yet to be determined, car's worth of brakes, too.

I would like to add that these are some good prices. I bought my wife's Audi a full set of frozen (non-slotted) rotors and HPS pads and the total cost was ~$800.

I had some issues with some parts not fitting and dealing with Div. Cryo was always hassle-free. It's good to support local vendors even if they are a big-name national vendor... especially when they pass the savings on to you.

So, it's rotor time for me... I may not be able to wait until Feb, however. I will let you know if I am able to wait and want in on this... A note to pass on, Russ: Cryo'd Power Slot Rotors can be had for $158/shipped on the 'net. If they price any higher than last year, this will not be a deal (rotors anyway).

    Thanks

Ok, I got the scoop from Mark. This year he is changing things up a bit. We can use the website for prices and ordering and then we can pick them all up at once. So basically we are getting web prices minus 15%. The promo code is FR1393. Just make sure you select pickup for the shipping and that will be deducted from the final price. Now we just need to figure out what works out for everyone for a pick up date. Also, if there is something you need that is not listed on the web site, let me know and I can have Mark look them up.

Very stupid question i have here. On the web site there are different 02 and 03 setups when you choose the year. one says 02- 12/01/02 and the other says 03-04 i thought 02 and 03 were the same. Which one i should choose, I know my car is an early 02. And another question. what would i need to get to do an H6 rear rotor swap?

    Thanks a lot.

For the rear h6 swap you would just need the rear caliper brackets. The calipers are the same, you just need to move them out and that is done with the mounting brackets.

Also, let me know if everyone wants to meet up to pick this stuff up. Mark usually brings in coffee and dognuts for everyone and you get to check out the cryo systems and such.

Dealership. I know Brian in BP should have the part number, but it is the bracket for the leggy h6 wagons.

Well, I couldn't wait for the rotors (plus I found them cheaper) and went with Carbotech pads. I may still be interested in the rears, depending on my tax returns...

Yep, you can get a gear set treated. I am having some motor parts treated. Same 15% discount applies. There is a section on their site that gives some prices for certain items.

    Kick ass!

Would it be better to have the gears shot peened first, or cryo treated?

Shot peen first and cryo last. Always do the machine work first then finish it off with the cryo treating.

Final bump. Mark will be nice and let us get the discount even if we don't get enough people/items. If he doesn't hear anything by the weekend it will be closed down.

Ok, Mark only received 3 orders, so it is up to you guys on what you want to do. Mark was thinking March 8th in the morning to pick everything up (located in Burnsville). Let me know. Since it is only a couple of people, it might be just easier for everyone to pick up their parts when you have the free time. Just let me know.

Call them. I went down there to do some business with them (wife's rotors) and mentioned this deal. They hooked me up (after the deadline) and I have new pads and rotors waiting for me to pick up as of right now. Last week they were saying that their anticipated pick up date was 4 March so I'm assuming that those who ordered have their parts in stock. Again, call them.

Really, having these guys as a local resource is phenomenal and the discount for a full set up was almost $100 in my case.

Thanks for setting this up, Russ.
