I am willing to put together one more rotor/pad group buy. If anyone is interested, let me know. I will try and get a updated price list of the standard subaru rotors in the next week or so. I will also look for last years prices. So if you are interested, post up. If you need rotors for something other than a subaru, post what it is and I can have Mark get my the discount price. Previous years we were at about a 20% discount off of their standard prices, but again, I will need to get the current price list from Mark.

General idea is to get a list of who wants what rotors, it usually take Mark about 2 weeks or so to make sure that everything is in and treated. Then we try to have a mini meet at Frozen rotors (Burnsville) around Feb to pick everything up and talk cars for a bit. So if there is enough people looking for pads, rotors, and fluid, I would like to have everything in to Mark by mid to late January for a early to mid Febuary pickup. That will give everyone 4-6 weeks to make their decisions and save their money. In years past there was never any kinda of pre-pay, it was always pay when you pick up your parts and I have only been screwed 2 times in the past 7 years.

I was in on last year's purchase. I have to say, almost 1 year after purchase/installing those rotors still look and feel like new. They are not cheap, but they are well worth the money.

I'm interested in fluid for sure. Possibly pads.

Do they carry lines and speed bleeders?

I too may be interested but price will be a factor as this is already shaping up to be an expensive winter for car stuff. 2001 RS.

I need some front '06 pads real soon. Are these going to chew my stock rotors up?

Looks like last year we were 15% off of the web prices. So I would check out Frozenrotors.com and check out what they have for current pricing. I would guess that we will be pretty close to the same discount as last year. As I get more info from Mark I will pass it along.

Question - I see on their site they list a part # that's the same for, say, front left & front right and the price is $1xx.xx each. That is then $1xx.xx for the one front left rotor and another $1xx.xx for the one front right rotor? Correct? Or is the pricing for both fronts together? Anyone know off hand?

^can you link to it? Most of the site is listed for individual rotors. There may be listing for pairs, but I haven't noticed any for the cars I browsed for.

I'm guessing the HPS are best for stock rotors?

If so, here's the link to the HPS that are listed to fit the 06-07 WRX. 15% off of that would be quite reasonable.

I will definitely be in for a rather large order. I've been in need of rotors/front pads since summer, but stalled for the group buy.

    I need:
    1311 FZR SL
    1311 FZR SR
    730CSL
    730CSR
    HB432F.661 pads

    http://www.frozenrotors.com/store/1459 FZR

Wondering if that's both fronts or if I need to x2 that $$. Could very well be the difference between me getting in on the GB or not.

It appears to be just one rotor and that I would need to x2 it.

Price: $ 111.81 each. Frozen rotor

I'm going to say that it will be just one rotor for that price, which sounds about right.

    Russ,

Thanks for doing this for us again this year. Being that pickup and payment would be in February I would be interested in this. I'm just wondering where the fluid and brake lines are listed on the webpage? I did some quick surfing right now and didn't see anything. I'm interested in the brake lines.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Yeah, the price would suggest single rotor. I', with you though, it is confusing. The picture is of 2 rotors after all. You'll notice some of their rotors are L/R specific, so I think it's safe to assume all rotor listings are for individual unit unless otherwise marked.

Fluids aren't on the site but ATE Super Blue was available in past group buys. Dunno if they stopped carrying it or what. Lines and speed bleeders aren't on the site either, so I'm hoping they're able to source the parts even if they don't normally stock them or advertise them on the website.

Bump for a update. So if there is anything you need that is not listed on the site, let me know. I will get Mark working on prices.

***Remember, this does not have to be a subaru only thing. If you have other cars that need rotors, we can get those done. They also cryo treat other parts such as motors, gearsets, gun barrels, etc. Check out their site for more info.

    Hi Russ,

Sounds great! We are in the process of updating the site to show the 2008 models. I'll add the 2008 STi and the standard WRX separately so it shows up on the site now instead of waiting for the complete update in February.

If the members want to purchase fluid and SS lines they will need to call in their orders. Adding the fluid to the site would be easy but adding the SS lines will require significant time and money. The lines run $99.00 to $115.00 and are readily available. The ATE Super Blue fluid will cost $13.95.

The discount will be 15% on all brake rotors and brake pads. Same as previous years.

Do you want to put a January 30th deadline on the group buy?

Let me know and I'll create a promo code that the members can use when ordering.

    Thanks Russ!

    Mark

Renew bump. Anything?? Anyone?? If you want specific prices on lines, or need prices on something you don't see in their store, let me know. If I don't get any more info from everyone I am just going to get what I need and drop the GB for everyone else.

Again, I want to get things wrapped up by the end of the month or so. It takes about 2 weeks to get larger orders in and treated, so we would be looking at a mid Feb pick up if we close at the end of Jan.

So is there anything else?? If not the GB will be closed down and it will be the last time I do it.

Hand raisers?? You have till the end of next week and if all I have is Chux's order we will have to close down the GB.

I'm in need of rear rotors. However, I'm thinking about the ever-popular H6 rear upgrade. Has anyone here done it?

I already have new Hawk HPS pads. Besides the rear Outback caliper brackets, all I would need is the Outback's rear rotors, right?

And would people recommend the power slots or the frozen slotted?

Thanks Russ. I hope more people sign on. I bought direct from Frozenrotors before. Great stuff!

Ok, since there is only 2-3 people interested, please call Mark directly. He has only last offer for everyone on some wrx rotors, but you would need to call him for availability on certain years.

Anyone who is interested in the GB, please call Mark directly.

He is closing the GB on Feb 6th.

And here is his last bit on the wrx rotors. These are NOT treated rotors, so they are just the blanks with the slots and holes.

If I could offer the group a WRX brake rotor that is drilled, slotted, and zinc platted for 85.00 ea. would you think their would be any interest?

    Mark

FYI - I couldn't wait and did my purchase from them this fall. I did get a MNSOC discount then so if you don't get in on the gb deal you can always contact them about it. Nice folks and you get a informative email from them every once in a while.
