    I am just getting nervous that I wont be able to fix this car when/if it breaks. I refuse to take my car to a mechanic, I would rather it sit in my garage blown up for the next 10 years, seriously!

    That was just an idea, haha. I have a hard time making decisions... If I knew that I would be able to fix the car, I would not even consider selling it. I am mechanically inclined, but Subaru motors are way different than anything I have ever worked on, I mean, I could not even change the spark plugs on it, unless I were to read up on it, lol...

    exactly, subarus are one of the easiest cars to work on out there.

    my friend is a mechanic at the subaru dealer and he does not enjoy working on other cars.

    it can be done. once you figure them out. i have seen my mechanic pull an engine and stick it back in in around that much time. the turbo plumbing makes things a bit more complex but not too much.
