FS: 06 WRX 5sp Transmission

Pulled at 30K. It shifts great, no grinds, but does have a whine that becomes most noticeable in 5th gear at highway speeds. Fluid used was Scotty's coctail starting at about 15k to present. This trans is complete, never pulled apart. Sold as is. Located in Columbia Heights

Still around. All the openings were plugged when pulled so there's no dust or anything inside.

Does anyone know what Id have to do to mate this to my 02 WRX EJ20. I seem to remember that the clutch is opposite of the 02 5MT. Let me know.

 

You would need a stepped 06+ wrx or 05+ LGT flywheel, push style pressure plate, and a slave cylinder if it does not come with the gearbox. The clutch discs are the same between them.

 

Slave cylinder included.

 

I am starting to think that I want this transmission. Can I ask why you removed it? 6 speed swap, or was the 5th gear whine that concerning to you?

You would also need matching 3.7 rear diff

 

That adds another wrinkle. Now I've gotta see how much one of those would run and how hard it is to get one...

 

I have the 3.70 in another thread, deal to be had if you want both. The whine wasn't really a concern but I knew my powel goals and put ppg's in proactively.

 

What were you thinking about for the pair?

i have a act hd pressure plate with street disc practically brand new if he needs it. out of an 06 wrx. (not trying to thread jack. lol
