I bought this car 5 years ago with the idea I'd have it up and running after I finished with my 6.0 240z. The 240z drained me of all my tolerance to deal with project cars so nows the time for me to sell it to someone who can make this car as awesome as it can be. Remember 4doors had leaf springs in the rear 2drs dont. This is one of a handful of clean Datsun 510's in the state and I had to pay almost $1k to ship it up here from Arizona. It's not running now and I have the rear/driver seat currently removed from the car because I had planned on rewiring it. Coilovers all around, disc brakes all around, cross drilled rotors all around, bolt in cage, ROH wheels. This will take some work to clean up and get running but it is not awful. When I bought it it ran but I started taking it apart because the intercooler setup was retarded. Paths have been cut and welded to allow for IC piping to be ran up front instead of within the engine bay like it was installed previously. Price is starting at $4,500 obo title in hand. ~~**GODBLESS**~~~~*~*~
Wiring is a bit of a mess, I'd recommend a megasquirt type system. I have one of these deals which I'm including to rerun the power http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EZ-W...rQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_654wt_1165 rear struts need a new bushings I think. I have the original tank but it could probably use a fuel cell.
wow, small world, I emailed you back when you had this on craigs list. I had just picked up my bugeye before seeing your datsun. been wanting one of these for a Looooonnnng time. wife would divorce me. hmmmmm maybe i should think about it..... kidding,, good luck with the sale.
Yeah, I remember hitting you up about this when it was on MNSC, I was going to come out with another 510 owner (the red turbo one that floats/rockets around the area) but I never got a response. I wish I still had the space/money/time, because this has the potential to be a real fun car. Good luck selling it man.
If its for sale when i get back from afghanistan in a year i'll seriously buy this, looks like so so so much potential.
