FS: 1996 Subaru Impreza Outback 900 bucks.

Hey guys. I picked up another Subie in CO so my daily needs to go. Ive done a bit of work on it since last posting. New front struts, rear wheel bearing, new tires, and a few other small things. Ok here we go...

1996 Subau Impreza Outback Wagon
235,xxx miles
EJ22E engine
5 speed manual trans

Good:
-Nice Sony deck and speakers (X4)
-Starts.
-Runs.
-Drives.
-Shifts.
-New trans and diff fluid. all synthetic.
-Oil change 500 miles ago.
-Front struts just installed.
-Rear wheel bearing just replaced.
-Steelies with 4 almost new Bridgestone Weather force tires

Bad:
-Lots of rust.
-Front drivers side axle clicks during lower speed turns.
-The clicking axle is seized into the hub...
-The center diff (I believe) gets a little crunchy in reverse (all other gears shift fine and have no grinding)
-Leaks oil from VC and oil separator plate. 1 quart per 3k oil change. (the oil just drips onto the exhaust and burn. doesn't leave anything on the ground)
-Drips gas when tank is full

Thats about it. Could use some work but has never failed me as a DD. Would make a great winter beater or a cheap DD.

NOTE: The RS hood and WRX seats are no longer installed. Clean stock seats have been put in as well as a clean dark blue stock hood.

can you post pics of the strut towers on the inside? Rear struts obviously

 

I will if it doesn't sell this weekend. My roommate threw me an offer I couldn't refuse.

I had the rear hatch interior apart to inspect it a little over a year ago because I had another 96 Impreza wagon do this..

 

so that is or isn't of this car, I assume not the way you worded it but its a little unclear..just making sure.

 

Off question but I thought OBS came with rear drum?

That's a car I bought from a little old lady for 500 bucks. She bought it new and I don't think she washed it for 15 years..

 

This isn't and OBS. I believe the OBS came out in 97? This is just an outback. And it has rear disks
