I'm selling my 98' Impreza 2.5 RS project car because college bill collectors are starting to knock at my door. I've had the car for about five years now since I purchased it in Colorado my freshmen year at UCCS. It's been my daily driver for the past 4 years until the original engine went on me during a cross-country trip. Since then I garaged it and put in a rebuilt engine during the spring. I can no longer realistically have both a project car and a work car so this one has to go. The car is located in La Crosse, WI and will need to be towed because the starter is out/brakes are soft; I can arrange a tow within a reasonable distance if a deal is made.

    The good:
$1,900 worth of work/parts done on it this past year
    5 speed
Short block came out of a 2001 2.5 Legacy with 40,000 miles (purchased for $700); ran good after rebuild
Heads were taken to machine shop and everything needed was rebuilt ($500 in work)
Headgaskets done, all important gaskets/seals replaced, new timing belt, new oil pan, new timing belt cover, Beiden spark plug wires/new plugs, 2004 Sti engine mounts
    No name cold air intake
2001 Impreza RS front bumper skin/Fog light covers (May keep depending on deal, have original bumper skin otherwise)
    Bumper clips
    Lightened front bumper
04' Sti struts/shocks (May keep depending on deal)
    Whiteline front endlinks
Can include wingless trunk, other misc. stuff included
I'm sure I'm missing some other stuff

Right now the car has a set of Ray's Gram Light rims on it (17x7.5) with newer-treaded tires. They are pretty rare as they have been discontinued since I bought them a few years back; I may include them with the car for the right price.

    What it needs:
Some brake work (need to be bled/cleaned, pads and rotors still have a lot of life)
Body work (Has typical Impreza surface rust, one rear quarter has some rust the other does not, manageable to fix, frame in good shape)
New starter (Has been weak for years, finally went out on me after I rebuilt the engine)
    Radiator has mild leak
Rear of the interior is out along with the carpet; all interior pieces are included
Driver's side door has a sizable dent in it but I will include a replacement door that I bought a while back
Odds and ends typical of a 15 year old car

    Asking $2,800 OBO!!

Again, this is a project car so don't expect a daily driver unless you put in some work, a mild sense of automotive knowledge should do. If you have any questions/offers don't be afraid to pm or give me a text/call at (763)-twotwoseven-1966

    Thanks!

Here's a few pics of the rust on the right rear and around the windshield/a-pillars. Also a pic of the interior (dusty currently but all there and clean otherwise)
